Attendee/presenter profile
The Global Physics Summit’s virtual platform and mobile app help you connect with fellow scientists and increase the visibility of your research. You can create a presenter/attendee profile, upload handouts, and connect your social media profiles in the system’s speaker console.
To access the speaker console, you must be registered for the meeting using the same email address used for your abstract submission.
Session presentations
Invited, focus/mini-symposium, oral, tutorial, and short course
Please check the date and time of your presentation a few days before the conference in the schedule or the meeting mobile app. Times and room locations may have changed since you received your author notice.
You must attend the meeting in person to give your presentation. Web conferencing systems such as Zoom will not be available.
APS will be using a presentation management system that allows invited, focus/mini-symposium, and oral presenters to upload their PowerPoint or PDF slides to the session room computer for their talk. The system is not available for tutorial or short course speakers.
If your slides are ready, you can upload them in advance by logging in and following the “Upload Slides” link in the user toolbar or mobile menu. Or you may upload your slides, a minimum of 3 hours before your session, in the speaker ready room on-site. We recommend all presenters stop by to preview their slides on the venue’s equipment.
If you prefer to use your own computer, please bring an HDMI adapter to the session room for your presentation to ensure your computer can connect to the projector/screen.
Uploaded slides must be in PDF or PowerPoint format. If you are unable to upload your slides, please contact APS Meetings.
All session rooms are equipped with the following audiovisual equipment:
- PC
- LCD projector
- Projection screen
- Lapel microphone
- Laser pointer
- Slide advancer (clicker)
- HDMI switcher (you must bring an adapter if your video connection is USB-C)

Poster presentations
The maximum size for printed posters is 96 inches (243 centimeters) wide by 48 inches (121 centimeters) tall.
You can bring your poster to the Exhibit Hall after 10 a.m. on the day of your presentation.
To increase the visibility of your poster beyond your scheduled session and broaden the reach of your science, in-person poster presenters can upload a one-page PDF of their poster, along with an optional five-minute video explaining the science to the virtual platform's speaker console. Uploaded posters will be available on the virtual platform and on ePoster kiosks at the Global Physics Summit.
