Virtual meeting experience

Attend the virtual APS Global Physics Summit to learn from the comfort of your home or office. The virtual experience includes select live-streamed sessions from the in-person event each day, virtual-only sessions across all disciplines, ePosters, and online networking opportunities. In-person attendees can also access the virtual meeting content during and after the conference.

Benefits of attending the Global Physics Summit virtually

The virtual program will be tailored to attendees and presenters who require flexibility in their schedules and enjoy the accessibility of digital learning. From April 11-16, virtual attendees will experience:

• Select live-streamed talks from Atlanta each day, including Kavli Foundation Special Symposiums, the Special Session featuring Nobel Laureates, and plenary sessions
• Live, virtual presentations, including mini-symposia sessions and contributed talks, with real-time interaction between in-person and virtual attendees
• Opportunities to connect with virtual and in-person attendees
• On-demand posters, where poster presenters share their posters electronically online
• Exhibitor and career resources
• Recordings of all invited sessions, mini-symposia, career workshops, and commercial workshops held in Atlanta
• On-demand access to recorded presentations, as well as ePosters, for 90 days after the meeting

Why attend virtually?

Life is complex, but attending the Global Physics Summit doesn’t have to be. The virtual experience offers scientists worldwide the convenience of learning and presenting from anywhere. While attending virtually is a different experience from attending in person, presenters and attendees will enjoy select live-streamed sessions from Atlanta all week, plus virtual-only presentations across all disciplines.

To present virtually, you simply select the “Virtual (Online)” presentation option as part of your abstract submission.

On-demand content

After the event, all Global Physics Summit registrants will have access to an on-demand library of recorded sessions and ePosters so they can rewatch their favorite talks, catch up on any program events they may have missed, and review the groundbreaking research presented at the meeting. On-demand content will be uploaded a few weeks after the meeting has concluded and will be available to view for 90 days.

Attend a satellite event

Satellite events, organized by physics organizations and departments outside of the U.S., uniquely combine local, in-person activities with virtual engagement from the APS Global Physics Summit so physicists have the opportunity to participate in the meeting without having to travel to Atlanta, Georgia. You may also apply to host a satellite event.
