With more than 14,000 attendees, the APS Global Physics Summit provides a critical out-of-classroom experience unparalleled by other meetings because of the breadth of topics covered. Undergraduate research sessions
Undergraduate research sessions give students a unique opportunity to present research, receive feedback from trained mentors, be recognized with a certificate of presentation, and become eligible for a top presenter prize. Students who wish to present their research at these undergraduate-only sessions should submit their abstracts under the "Undergraduate Student Research" sorting category.

You can look forward to on-site events tailored specifically for the ultimate undergrad experience:
- Undergrad student get-together: Network and mingle with fellow undergraduate attendees over snacks. Get advice on navigating the meeting and developing and practicing your elevator pitch!
- Graduate School Fair: Learn about various masters of science and Ph.D. programs around the world and chat with representatives from graduate programs looking to recruit undergrads.
- Undergraduate student reception: The reception is a great place for undergraduate students to informally network with each other and enjoy food and games!
Travel grant funding for students
Doc Brown Future of Physics Days travel grants are for undergraduate students presenting research at the Undergraduate Research Sessions during the APS Global Physics Summit. Grants are limited and only available to students who submit their research under the Undergraduate Student Research sorting category.

How to become a presenter
The Global Physics Summit centers on physics research in condensed matter, quantum information, magnetism, soft matter, materials, statistical and nonlinear physics, data science, astrophysics, particle physics, nuclear physics, gravitation, physics education, and so much more. Become a presenter to fuel your future success.

Choose your session
Decide whether you want to present in a general session or an undergraduate-only session. Students presenting in undergraduate-only sessions receive written feedback from trained mentors, a presentation certificate, and are eligible to win a prize as a top presenter.
Submit your abstract
Submit your abstract between Sept. 9 and Oct. 22, 2026. Please review the details of the abstract submission process carefully.
Then patiently wait! All approved abstracts will be sorted into categories, and an author notice will be sent in December notifying you of your acceptance.
