Unit Short Courses and Tutorials

Gain insights from leading experts in your specific areas of interest in physics by participating in pre-meeting short courses and tutorials. Organized by APS units, these sessions offer unique advantages for students, postdocs, early career physicists, and seasoned professionals alike.

You can sign-up to attend pre-meeting events by registering for the APS Global Physics Summit. You will have the option to register for the both pre-meeting events and the APS Global Physics Summit or just for the pre-meeting events.

Morning tutorials

The morning tutorials will take place from 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and include:

  • T2: Correlated and topological electrons in rhombohedral graphene
  • T3: 2D Heterostructure Design for Discovery
  • T4: Quantum Algorithms
  • T5: Altermagnetism
  • T6: Flexible Mechanical Metamaterials

Afternoon tutorials

The afternoon tutorials will take place from 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. and include:

  • T7: Hybrid Discrete-Continuous Variable Quantum Computation
  • T8: Process Tensor Matrix-product States
  • T9: Physics and Mathematics for the Climate Crisis
  • T10: Physical Principles of Biocondensates
  • T11: Quantum Error Correction
  • T12: Learning Without Neurons
