QuantumFest events

You can look forward to on-site events at the intersection of art, science, and fun to celebrate the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology.

Quantum Jubilee

Saturday, March 15 at the Grove of Anaheim kicks off Quantum Jubilee, a free, family-friendly event. Enjoy an immersive experience with engaging performances, science demonstrations, and flash talks that highlight the wonders of quantum physics. The event features three exciting segments. Quantum Harmonies will showcase Tinguely Entangled, a multimedia performance exploring the concept of entanglement through the fusion of art and science. Quantum Journeys invites you on an adventure with Quantum Voyages, an exciting tale across multiple quantum realms, followed by an exploration of quantum wonders aboard the International Space Station. Finally, Quantum Celebrations will take you on a captivating journey from subatomic particles to the cosmos, featuring multimedia performances, interactive demonstrations, and an exciting finale with a stunning performance by the LA-based circus, Le PeTiT CiRqUe.

LabEscape - Quantum Salvation

Saturday, March 15
Anaheim Convention Center, 205

Join us for a free mini-mission of LabEscape at the Grove of Anaheim and save the world from a terrible memory-erasing virus! If only we had a working quantum computer.

These 45-minute adventures will be available from 11:15 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Book now to reserve your mission. Groups are available for up to 8 people and everyone must be age 12+.

LabEscape - Dark Matter Disaster

Sunday, March 16 - Friday, March 21
Anaheim Convention Center, 205

“Dark Matter Disaster" full escape room adventures will be available throughout the APS Global Physics Summit.

Mining the asteroid Psyche seemed like such a good idea until a dark matter anomaly knocked part of it on a collision course with Earth. Now, quantum tech is the only hope for saving the planet from a total extinction event!

Book now to reserve your mission. $4 per person. Groups are available for up to 8 people and everyone must be age 12+.

Quantum Playground

Monday, March 17 - Thursday, March 20
Anaheim Convention Center, Exhibit Hall AB

The Quantum Playground merges curiosity with creativity. From interactive installations and hands-on experiments to storytelling and quantum-generated art, science isn’t just explained, it’s expressed through art, games, and stories. Explore the mysteries of entanglement, superposition, and quantum computing in playful and surprising ways.

Save the Cat - Quantum Quest

Monday, March 17 - Thursday, March 20
Anaheim Convention Center

Embark on a thrilling journey through time-travel portals to rescue Schrödinger’s cat, Spinny, from the mysterious quantum box! This interactive adventure is filled with surprises, challenges, and mind-bending tasks, making quantum physics fun and engaging. Will you solve the puzzle and save the cat? Let’s try!

Birds of Science

Monday, March 17 - Thursday, March 20
Anaheim Convention Center

Craft origami birds from the pages of scientific writings of APS papers or your notebook. In this collaborative art and science project, participants create individual pieces, and these origami birds will come together to form a breathtaking large-scale installation, symbolizing the knowledge, science, and the collective journey of ideas taking flight.
