In this talk, we leverage the reality of the spectrum in open quantum systems with parity-time symmetry to develop an algorithm that exploits this symmetry and the existence of a Hermitian equivalent. This approach uses a similarity transformation that offers a hybrid classical-quantum algorithm, utilizing only a single qubit to simulate the evolution of a PT-symmetric Hamiltonian. By adding a time-independent two-qubit operator at the end of the evolution, we eliminate the need for classical post-processing. Furthermore, we apply this method, along with perturbation of the eigenstates and eigenvalues of the Hamiltonian, to scale up the system size and investigate the unique entanglement generation in these systems.
