The investigation of novel light-matter interactions has significantly advanced in recent years. However, most studies are limited to local optical responses with linearly-polarized electrodynamic eigenstates. In contrast, the optical gyrotropy exhibited by Tellurium is fundamentally related to the non-local optical response and is closely linked to the topology of Berry curvature. Here, we develop a deep microscopic optical band theory of Tellurium and unravel hidden chiral optical polarization texture within the crystal lattice. We show that Tellurium exhibits a super-dispersive optical gyrotropy manifested from the deep microscopic nonlocal optical indices. Our findings establish Tellurium as a unique platform for spectro-polarimetric separation in the mid-wave infrared regime. Further, we show that the gyration tensor in Tellurium couples to the electromagnetic pseudo-tensor, unlocking a new regime of nonlocal light-matter interactions.
