Quantum Information: Thermodynamics out of Equilibrium
Manipulating quantum correlations exceptional points in dissipative quantum systems
11:30 am – 12:06 pmFor this APS talk, I will present recent results on how to exploit non-Hermitian physics properties for manipulating two-qubit maximally entangled states, Bell states. The proposal relies on chiral state transfer along closed loops in the vicinity of an exceptional point, one of the features that can be observed in non-Hermitian systems. Here, we demonstrate chiral state conversion between singlet and triplet Bell states through fully quantum Liouvillian dynamics of two-interacting qubits. We extend this idea to the production of Bell states from separable states with a high fidelity and for a large range of parameters. These findings present a first application of chiral state transfer in quantum information processing and put forward a novel way to control entangled states through dissipative-induced non-Hermitian properties.
